Umaya Resort (Formerly Belize Ocean Club)

Set on a 6.5 acre piece of land set across the Placencia Peninsula, Umaya Resort is a condo-hotel resort consisting of 60 two-bedroom suites, two restaurants and bars, an overwater spa, a PADI dive centre and the second largest event space in Belize.

The resort was voted 5th best hotel in Central America within a year of opening by Tripadvisor and has hosted numerous government summits and conferences and over a dozen heads of state.

BDP acquired the land, developed the resort using a combination of cash, local bank financing and condo pre-sales, put together an in-house management team and then contracted out the resort management.
Falah Del Mar

Adjacent to Belize Ocean Club in Placencia, Falah Del Mar is a beachfront development of 51 residential condominiums ranging from studios to three-bedroom penthouses.

Having developed Belize Ocean Club, we realized there was a gap in the market for residential condominiums with no restriction on personal use, and also for smaller units on the peninsula.

BDP introduced the land site to an American businessman and brokered the purchase. BDP then set about developing the architectural plans for the project and obtaining all the necessary environmental and building authority permits. BDP is responsible for the development of the entire project and will use a combination of our own construction crew and local contractors. Construction is currently underway with completion due in Dec 2020.
Belize Rainforest Reserve

Belize Rainforest Reserve is set on almost a thousand acres in the Cayo district of Western Belize. After acquiring the land, BDP created a master plan that includes 282 residential lots, a 24-room boutique hotel, a conservation and research centre and organic gardens. Detailed environmental studies were carried out and full environmental approvals received for both the residential development and the hotel from the Department of Environment. Subdivision of the residential lots was approved by the Lands Department in late 2018, the roads were built in 2019 and construction of infrastructure and facilities is currently underway.
